🗽 Symbols

Symbols, or linked sections, are sections that you can re-use throughout your project.

In the code under the hood, a symbol, or linked section, is the same object. It is not a copy.

That is why, if you make a change to an instance of the symbol, that change will be reflected in every instance of that symbol in your project.

Symbols are often used for navbars and footers where you want the content and style to be exactly the same throughout your project.

Here’s how you can create a linked section in WeWeb:

Note – At the moment, symbols in WeWeb are limited to Sections. You cannot turn an element into a symbol.
